Terms of Service

Ringo Calls

Effective date: 12 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ringo Calls and form an agreement between you and Ringo Calls.

Please read them carefully before creating an account or purchasing a subscription. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or otherwise agreeing to these Terms where prompted, you agree to be bound by them.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Ringo Calls is operated by:

Ringo Calls
Townparks, Skerries, Dublin, Ireland
Company registration number: 784892

Email: support@ringo.ie

2. What Ringo does

Ringo provides AI-powered reminder calls designed to help families support someone they care about with everyday tasks, routines and appointments.

Depending on your plan and available features, Ringo may:

  • place scheduled reminder calls
  • retry missed calls
  • capture responses and messages
  • identify schedule-change or stop requests
  • provide call history and summaries
  • analyse call tone
  • surface missed calls or other events that may need attention
  • send email or SMS notifications
  • provide dashboards, calendars and account-management tools

The person receiving Ringo calls does not need to install the Ringo application.

Ringo's features, plans and limits may change over time. The features and limits shown on the pricing page or during checkout at the time you subscribe form part of your subscription.

3. Important limits of the service

Ringo is designed for reminder calls and family awareness.

Ringo is not:

  • an emergency response service
  • a medical device
  • a healthcare provider
  • a substitute for a doctor, nurse, carer or other professional
  • a monitoring service that guarantees someone's safety
  • a service that can independently verify whether a real-world task has been completed

If you believe someone is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical assistance, contact the appropriate emergency or professional service directly. Do not rely on Ringo to detect or respond to an emergency.

4. Account holders and recipients

For these Terms, an Account Holder is the person who creates or pays for the Ringo account; a Recipient is a person whose telephone number is added to Ringo so that they can receive reminder calls; and a Workspace is the Ringo account area through which recipients, reminders, calls and related information are managed.

The Account Holder is the contracting party responsible for the subscription and payment obligations. A Recipient does not need to create their own account or become responsible for the Account Holder's subscription simply because they receive a Ringo call.

5. Adding another person to Ringo

You may use Ringo to arrange reminder calls for another adult. Before adding a Recipient, you must ensure that:

  • you are authorised to provide their information
  • they have agreed to receive Ringo calls where consent is required
  • they understand that calls are conducted using AI
  • the information you provide is reasonably accurate
  • you do not use Ringo in a way that is deceptive, coercive, abusive or unlawful

You must not add someone's telephone number without appropriate authority or use Ringo to repeatedly contact someone who does not want to receive calls. If a Recipient asks Ringo to stop or pause calls, Ringo may record and act on that request.

You must not attempt to circumvent a Recipient's stop request by repeatedly re-adding them or creating replacement reminders without their agreement.

6. Creating and managing reminders

The Account Holder controls the reminder information and schedule entered into Ringo. You are responsible for checking that:

  • the intended Recipient has been selected
  • the telephone number is correct
  • the reminder wording is appropriate
  • the scheduled time is suitable
  • the reminder is not misleading or unlawful

Ringo will attempt to place calls according to the schedule configured in the service. However, calls may occasionally be delayed, missed or fail because of:

  • telephone-network conditions
  • Recipient phone availability
  • third-party provider outages
  • internet or infrastructure failures
  • capacity limits
  • maintenance
  • circumstances outside Ringo's reasonable control

Ringo does not guarantee that every call will connect at an exact time.

7. Missed calls and retries

Where supported by the selected plan and reminder settings, Ringo may automatically retry a reminder call after a missed or unanswered call. A retry is an automated service feature and does not guarantee that the Recipient will answer.

Ringo may group an original call and subsequent retry attempts as one reminder flow. The dashboard may show the eventual result of that overall flow rather than treating each attempt as an unrelated reminder.

8. Messages, requests and call outcomes

During a call, a Recipient may provide information that Ringo interprets as:

  • confirmation of a reminder
  • a message for a family member
  • a request to change a schedule
  • a request to be reminded later
  • a request to pause or stop calls
  • an indication that the conversation may need attention

Ringo uses AI to interpret conversations. AI interpretation may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. You should review important information yourself before relying on it or taking significant action.

9. Call Tone and AI analysis

Ringo may use AI to analyse transcripts and provide information such as:

  • summaries
  • call outcomes
  • messages
  • tone classifications
  • confidence information
  • attention signals

Call Tone may describe a conversation using classifications such as calm, confused, annoyed or distressed. These classifications:

  • are generated automatically
  • may be inaccurate
  • are not medical assessments
  • are not diagnoses
  • are not emergency determinations

Ringo does not guarantee that AI will identify every concerning conversation or that every alert will be correct. You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to follow up.

10. AI conversations

Ringo reminder calls are conducted using AI-powered voice technology. AI-generated speech may occasionally:

  • misunderstand what a person says
  • produce an inaccurate response
  • repeat information
  • interpret a request incorrectly
  • provide an unexpected answer

Ringo is designed to keep conversations focused on reminders and related interactions. The AI is not intended to provide medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice. A Recipient should not rely on an AI conversation as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

11. Your account

You must provide accurate information when registering for Ringo. You are responsible for:

  • keeping your login credentials secure
  • preventing unauthorised access to your account
  • notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised
  • ensuring people using your account are authorised to do so

You must not share access with someone who should not have access to Recipient information. Ringo may require additional authentication or security checks where appropriate.

12. Acceptable use

You must not use Ringo:

  • unlawfully
  • to harass, threaten or repeatedly contact someone against their wishes
  • to impersonate another person
  • to deceive a Recipient about who is arranging calls
  • to provide intentionally false or harmful reminder information
  • to collect personal information unlawfully
  • to interfere with or disrupt the service
  • to gain unauthorised access to another Ringo account or workspace
  • to introduce malware or malicious code
  • to bypass security or subscription limits
  • to reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it
  • to resell or commercially exploit a consumer subscription without Ringo's written permission
  • to use automated systems to generate abnormal or abusive traffic
  • for emergency monitoring or other uses outside the intended scope of the product

We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect Recipients, customers, Ringo or its systems.

13. Subscription plans

Ringo offers subscription plans with different features and limits. The pricing page and checkout flow will show the applicable:

  • subscription price
  • billing frequency
  • number of supported Recipients
  • reminder or call allowance
  • features included in the plan

Plan limits form part of your subscription. If you exceed a plan limit, Ringo may prevent additional reminders, recipients or other activity until your allowance resets or you change plan. We will not charge an additional usage fee that was not disclosed or agreed to by you.

14. Fees and payment

Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout. You agree to provide valid billing information and authorise the payment provider to collect the fees shown during checkout.

Depending on the plan selected, subscriptions may be billed monthly, yearly, or on another billing period clearly shown before purchase. Taxes may be added where required by law. Ringo does not directly control all aspects of third-party payment processing.

15. Automatic renewal

Unless stated otherwise during checkout, paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Before purchasing, you will be shown:

  • the subscription price
  • the billing frequency
  • whether the subscription renews automatically
  • how to cancel

If we change the recurring price of your plan, we will give reasonable advance notice where required by law. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

16. Paid subscriptions

Basic and Family subscriptions are paid upfront through the checkout flow. The price and billing frequency shown before purchase apply to the subscription you select.

17. Your statutory right to cancel

If you are a consumer purchasing Ringo online, you may have a statutory cooling-off right. For consumers in Ireland and elsewhere in the EEA where the relevant rules apply, this will generally include a right to cancel the service contract within 14 days of entering into it without giving a reason.

If you ask Ringo to begin providing the service during that period and later cancel, you may be required to pay an amount proportionate to the service already supplied where permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms reduces any statutory cancellation right available to you.

To exercise a statutory cancellation right, contact support@ringo.ie. We will process any refund due under applicable law within the legally required period.

18. Cancelling your subscription

You may cancel your Ringo subscription using the cancellation method made available through the service or billing portal. Unless a statutory cancellation or refund right applies:

  • cancellation stops future renewals
  • you may continue to use your paid subscription until the end of the current billing period
  • amounts already paid for the current billing period are generally not refunded solely because you choose to cancel early

You will not be charged for a new billing period after a cancellation has become effective. These terms do not limit your rights where the service is faulty, unavailable or otherwise does not conform to applicable consumer law.

19. Problems with the service

Ringo will use reasonable care and skill in providing the service. If a digital service supplied to you does not conform to the contract, you may have statutory rights including rights to:

  • have the issue corrected
  • receive a price reduction
  • terminate the contract
  • receive a refund

Those rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes them. Please contact support@ringo.ie if you experience a problem.

20. Changes to Ringo

Ringo will continue to develop over time. We may:

  • improve existing features
  • change interfaces
  • add new features
  • discontinue features
  • replace third-party service providers
  • update technical requirements

We will not make a material change to an active paid subscription in a way that unfairly removes the core service you purchased without providing any remedy required by applicable law. Where a significant change materially affects your subscription, we will provide notice where appropriate.

21. Service availability

Ringo depends on third-party infrastructure including telephone networks, AI providers, hosting services and communications providers. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may temporarily suspend all or part of the service for maintenance, security, legal requirements, infrastructure problems, emergencies affecting our systems, or third-party service interruptions. We will take reasonable steps to restore service where an interruption occurs. Your statutory rights relating to prolonged or repeated service failures remain unaffected.

22. Third-party services

Ringo relies on third-party providers to operate parts of the service, including providers involved in telephony, AI voice processing, AI analysis, email, SMS, hosting, database infrastructure and payments. These providers may have their own terms governing certain interactions with their systems. Our handling of personal data and service providers is explained further in the Privacy Policy.

23. Privacy and Customer Data

You retain any rights you have in information you provide to Ringo. You give Ringo permission to process that information only to the extent necessary to:

  • provide the service
  • operate requested features
  • maintain security
  • provide support
  • comply with applicable law

Where you provide information about another person, you confirm that you are permitted to provide it. Ringo's processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.

24. Intellectual property

Ringo and its associated software, website, design, branding, interfaces and underlying technology belong to Ringo or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Ringo for the duration of your account or subscription in accordance with these Terms.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Ringo software or intellectual property to you. You may not use the Ringo name, logo or branding in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or affiliation without permission.

25. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback about Ringo, we may use that feedback to improve the service. You will not be entitled to payment merely because Ringo uses a suggestion you voluntarily provided. This does not give Ringo ownership of personal data or other material that belongs to you.

26. Suspension and termination by Ringo

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary if:

  • you materially breach these Terms
  • payment remains unpaid
  • you misuse the service
  • you compromise the security of Ringo
  • you repeatedly contact a Recipient against their wishes
  • we reasonably believe continued use could cause harm
  • we are required to do so by law
  • providing the service becomes unlawful

Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct a breach before termination. Immediate action may be taken where necessary for safety, security or legal reasons. Termination does not affect rights that arose before termination.

27. Recipient stop requests

A Recipient has the right to tell Ringo that they do not want further calls. Where Ringo identifies a supported stop or pause request, we may:

  • stop or pause calls
  • disable affected reminders
  • notify the Account Holder
  • record the request for operational and consent purposes

An Account Holder must respect that request. Repeatedly attempting to circumvent a Recipient's decision may result in suspension or termination of the Ringo account.

28. Consumer rights and warranties

Ringo does not exclude warranties, remedies or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to those rights:

  • AI-generated information may contain errors
  • telephone calls may occasionally fail or be delayed
  • third-party systems may become unavailable
  • Ringo cannot guarantee that every message, tone classification or alert will be correct

You should use Ringo as an additional family-support tool and apply your own judgement when reviewing information generated by the service.

29. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Ringo is not responsible for losses caused solely by:

  • inaccurate information entered by the Account Holder
  • misuse of the service
  • use of Ringo for purposes outside its intended scope
  • failure to seek appropriate emergency or professional assistance
  • circumstances outside Ringo's reasonable control

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ringo will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into. Any specific financial cap on Ringo's liability should be inserted only after legal review to ensure that it is fair and enforceable for the relevant type of customer. Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.

30. Business customers

These Terms are primarily written for individual and family customers. If Ringo provides services to a care facility, healthcare organisation, charity, employer, or other business or professional organisation, additional commercial terms, an Order Form, Data Processing Agreement or other contract may apply.

Where there is a conflict between those negotiated business terms and these Terms, the negotiated business agreement will take precedence to the extent stated in that agreement.

31. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when Ringo's service, legal requirements or subscription features change; new functionality is introduced; or clarification is required. The latest version will be published with an updated effective date. For material changes affecting an active subscription, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Changes will not remove statutory rights that already apply to you.

32. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are a consumer living outside Ireland, this does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply under the law of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

33. Complaints

If you have a problem with Ringo, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it. Email: support@ringo.ie

You may also have rights to use statutory consumer complaint, dispute-resolution or court procedures available in your country.

34. General terms

If one provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay by either party in enforcing a right does not mean that right has been waived.

We may use third-party providers and contractors to help provide Ringo. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a genuine corporate restructuring, merger, acquisition or sale, subject to applicable law and without reducing your consumer rights. You may not transfer your Ringo subscription to another person without our agreement.
